Welcome to the Road to Six Figures Challenge Day 10!
The Six Figures Challenge is a challenge created by entrepreneur, TraVal Shanklin, to document his journey of earning six figures from scratch through business ownership.
Tools
Today, I want to talk about some tools I have been using to grow my business. I touched on Upwork in the past, so I won’t include it in this short list. Let’s Begin.
Trello
Lately, I have been using the project management tool, Trello, to keep track of my projects and clients. Specifically, I use a card or two for each client with highly detailed activities of what I have to do. I also use it as an editorial calendar to plan out posts for social media before I schedule them.
With the cards, I enjoy being able to have a description, create a label, and have a checklist for them. So if I have multiple clients, I can keep track of my progress pretty easily.
Buffer/Hootsuite
To schedule my social media posts, I use both Buffer & Hootsuite. I don’t really prefer one over the other, because they both have their strengths and weaknesses. For a beginner, Buffer would likely be your tool of choice because it’s simple and an excellent scheduling tool. Hootsuite has more of a learning curve, but offers more features. For example, I like how you can see feeds of other accounts right through Hootsuite without going to the social media application itself. I say try out both and see which one you like more, or be like me and use both of them.
Daily Tasks and Goals
Writing down my daily tasks and goals I want to accomplish for the day has helped me tremendously. Just the act of writing them down creates the confidence and energy I need to achieve them. I know it’s not really a tool per se, but it works wonders on my productivity.
