Be Limitless

Limitless

It was 12:00 p.m. on a bright Saturday when Rich spotted an old friend leaving the grocery store.

Rich: “Hey Mike, how have you been doing?”

Mike: “I have been doing pretty well. I’m working as a computer scientist at a company called Shanktech Inc. What are you doing these days?”

Rich: “Right now, I am involved in a ton of projects. I like to be well diversified.”

Mike: “That’s great”

(Walking towards their respective cars, Mike glances to see Rich putting groceries in his Bentley. Mike doesn’t understand how someone as young as Rich, 25, can be successful.)

Mike: “Whoa Rich, I didn’t know you were rich! Where do you work?”

Rich: (Smiling) “It’s funny that you ask, I am the Founder and CEO of Shanktech Inc.”

Mike: (Shocked) “So you are telling me that I have been working for you for the last three years of my life?”

Rich: “Yes, I also own a couple of movie theaters, car washes, hotels, gas stations, etc. I am limitless.

Mike: “Oh my goodness! That’s crazy! If you don’t mind me asking, how can I become successful?

Rich: “I’m glad you asked. I’ll give you one tip for now since I’m kind of in a rush, but we can meet this weekend if you want to learn more. So first, you must stop thinking like an employee and more like an entrepreneur. You must save more of your money to invest into other streams of income. You must also earn more to invest in other strings of income.”

Mike: “I love working for your company, so you are telling me to quit?”

Rich: “You don’t have to start your own company like I did to get rich. I started my company, because I hated working for someone else and loathed having another person sign my paychecks. I wanted to sign the front and the back of my checks. Anyways, you can create wealth by investing in real estate, for example, or being a minority partner in a business. The opportunities are limitless. I suggest you read The Ten Roads to Riches: The Ways the Wealthy Got There (And How You Can Too!) by Kenneth Fisher to get an idea.

Mike: “I don’t like to read, but if I can potentially buy a Bentley like you, I should definitely give it a look.

Rich: “Haha, a Bentley is actually the first car I bought myself. I think I was 19 or 20 at the time, Bentley’s are great daily drivers.”

Mike: “Thanks for the tip Rich, I look forward to this weekend.”

Rich: “No problem Mike, have a good one.”

(Mike drives away in his Chevrolet Camaro dreaming of owning something more exotic like a Maserati.)

(Mike is sitting outside at Starbuck’s waiting for Rich, when he sees a glossy red Lamborghini Aventador turn in. It is Rich.)

Rich: “Hey Mike, are you ready to learn?”

Mike: “Yes, I am ecstatic that you are taking time out of your busy schedule to drop some golden nuggets.”

Rich: “I have one question for you Mike… Do you take full responsibility for your life?”
