This is one of my favorite ways to not only generate leads but also money from the websites I own. An incentive is something that “incites or tends to incite to action or greater effort, as a reward offered for increased productivity” according to Dictionary.com.
As a business owner, you want to be enticing people to join your email list and purchase your products and services. There are multiple types of incentives you can use.
Here are a few:
- Free Report
- Free eBook
- Discount Coupon
- Free Course or Video Training
- Free Consultation
Depending on the niche you’re in, one incentive may work better than another. You want to test different incentives and see which ones work best for your audience.
You may be thinking, “Well, if I giveaway something for Free, I’m going to lose money.” If you set up things a certain way you’ll be able to make your profits on the products and services you sell once a potential customer has taken advantage of your incentive.
2. Join or create affiliate programs
One of the quickest ways to make money online is to join an affiliate program and sell another person’s products and services. There are multiple benefits to doing this.
First, you don’t have to create your own product or service. So, instead of having to do the work of creating a high quality product, you only have to focus on driving traffic to someone else’s offer.
Also, in your niche, there are most likely multiple different affiliate programs you can promote. So, you can have multiple income streams coming from the commissions form multiple products and services.
Eventually, you not only want to be apart of different affiliate programs but you also want to have you own. Once you have your own affiliate program, your affiliates are going to be the ones who drive traffic to your offers.
You are now focusing on getting more affiliates and helping your affiliates get more sales. The more money they make, the more money you make. This is one way you can scale your online business, while working less. It’s a win-win situation for both sides.
3. Distribute & sell information
We are now in an informational age and people are spending more money on online information than ever before. No matter what service or product you’re currently selling, find a way to distribute information and online tools around your products and services.
Online education is a growing industry and has unbelievable profit margins. Think about it, how much does it cost to create an eBook or a video course today?
All you need is:
- A computer
- The information
- An internet connection
- A camera and mic (video)
Most of you reading this article already have all of the tools listed above. You just have to put in the work of creating the product and marketing it.
Information is also a great way to establish yourself as an authority in your niche. For some reason, humans tend to look at people who have written a book or put together a course as an expert.
Being seen an expert can bring in opportunities for you to grow your business instead of having to constantly search for new customers. They’ll find you.

4. Sell advertising
Another way for you to make money through your website is to sell advertising. Many people who own successful blogs, advertise their and other people offers on their blog.
There are multiple ways you can go about this, you can:

- Do Sponsored Ads
- Sell ad space
- Trade links
Me personally, I prefer to promote my own offers on my website and occasionally promote affiliate offers through links. Just think about your audience experience.

Selling services and tools are another way for you to generate profit from your website. For example, lets say you own a blog that talks about how gyms can bring in more clients through Facebook ads and Google ads.
You can also begin to offer a service such as FB ads for gym owners. You can maybe offer a software that automatically finds a target client for gym owners.
Think of a business to business service you can add to your current products and services. Just remember, you don’t want to get caught performing the service yourself, because then you’ll just own a job.
Instead, you want to either hire more experienced people to perform the service in-house, as a contractor, or hire a white-label company. Then, you can scale up the amount of businesses you serve without you having to do the work personally.
6. Host an online auction
Having the online auction feature on your website is great way to attract the target audience in your niche. Think of a website like eBay.
People may be searching for a specific item, and stumble upon eBay to find that item for sale. This is how an online auction website works.
The best part is that, you don’t have to list the items yourself. You just have to find the people who want to sell a specific item in your niche and connect them to the people who are willing to pay.
You are essentially the middle man. An online auction can work extremely well if you already have an email list. You can blast an email letting your subscribers know of the auction feature and incentivize them to use it.
